Over a period, time, Navi Mumbai has emerged as one of the well-developed cities. However, it still lacks certain virtues which will make it a world class city. Hence administrators of Navi Mumbai city envisaged preparation of one-time plan which will make this world class. Based on this mandate a vision document was prepared which envisioned various projects. The projects include projects which can be categorised in such a way that it will make Navi Mumbai as – Eco City, Global City, Smart City and Most Liveable city. Development of water transport, Gates for Navi Mumbai, projects which will improve the mobility of city, Road beautification, redevelopment of Old buildings, water front developments, development of market areas etc.
